It’s been an extremely busy and rewarding year for the Rogan Productions team. As well as relocating our offices to The Metal Box Factory in London Bridge, we’ve released 4 films and had 2 BBC Storyville commissions. Welcome to Mayfair won a RTS award for editing and Monty Python: The Meaning of Live (co-directed by James Rogan) was selected as a nominee for a Rose D’Or award. A massive thanks to all our supporters over the past year, our ever-growing team are working hard to ensure we have many more exciting projects lined up in 2016.
Films to look out for in 2016
Year Zero36
Director | John Gutierrez
Year Zero36 is a film that looks at the impact the Khmer Rouge has had on the Cambodian youth of today. The film follows a group of young circus performers as they deal with the difficulties of their lives; growing up as orphans, survivors of domestic violence, drug addiction and human trafficking while working to create a piece of theatre that explores their country’s dark history.
Waiting for Invasion
Director | Neringa Medutyte
Just 25 years after gaining independence from Russia, Lithuania is facing occupation again. The airspace above the Baltic States is now one of the most dangerous in the world. In the face of the biggest aggression in Europe since the Second World War, this documentary tells a story of people desperately trying to preserve peace against imaginable odds. But the film is not about the war, it is about peace and the people willing to fight to preserve it.
