Future Filmmakers

Paving the way for future filmmakers

Future Filmmakers is an initiative to discover talent and develop diversity in the TV industry, whilst helping individuals who need a leg up to make their first career break. We champion initiatives which support underrepresented voices – giving knowledge, vital support and opportunities to those otherwise unable to access this competitive industry.

We collaborate with Foreign Body Productions, an organisation who hold workshops on documentary filmmaking with the goal of giving underrespresented individuals an opportunity to produce films. Rogan Productions supports these courses.
Getting your foot in the door or returning to the TV/media industry after a career break can be difficult. We offer paid internships as well as support and collaborative opportunities for those seeking to return to the industry after, for instance, taking a break to have children.
We partner with the University of Westminster to provide placements for students on television production or journalism courses. With regular placements throughout the year, students get hands-on  xperience working across all areas of the production process from research, development and marketing to assisting on shoots.

“My placement at Rogan Productions really solidified my determination to go into the documentary field, as the team provided me with on hand experience and responsibility in researching for them. Each day brought on new tasks and challenges and the skills that I learnt have been essential as part of my university course and the production of my own work.”
