Rogan Productions are pleased to announce a new collaboration with Foreign Body Productions, a video production company that facilitate the production of films from underrepresented perspectives in the documentary industry.

Foreign Body Productions hold workshops on documentary filmmaking with the goal of giving individuals an opportunity to produce films, often with people who may never have had the chance to do so before.Their intensive courses run for 6 weeks. During this time they introduce groups to the fundamentals of documentary filmmaking, storytelling, practical camera and sound work, and video editing in Premiere Pro CC. This is alongside visits from active members of the industry. The programme culminates in participants developing, shooting and editing their own ideas with our guidance. The course is intensive, yet serves as an introduction to filmmaking and storytelling, and to the reality of having an idea, developing it and realising it.

Rogan Productions will be supporting each course run by Foreign Body Productions by holding a session at our offices in Hoxton Square, we will also be offering paid internships to outstanding candidates.

Soleta Rogan, Managing Director at Rogan Productions commented:

‘We’re really excited to be involved in this important initiative that will help support underrepresented individuals to develop their skills in order to land their first paid role in the documentary industry. We’ll be looking for outstanding candidates on these courses who show ambition, creative ability, and a true desire to work in the film industry.”
