Channel 4 commissions The Great British Truck Up
Channel 4 has commissioned London/Glasgow indie Rogan Productions to deliver a new Current Affairs special.
The Great British Truck Up (w/t) explores what it takes to become an HGV driver in a Britain that’s desperate for more. Following the journeys of hopeful drivers from across the country, viewers will witness the difficulties currently being faced by learners, training centres and logistics companies that mean the UK is grinding to a halt.
As the government has announced new plans to get an extra 30,000 HGV drivers on the road by Christmas, driving schools are now under more pressure than ever to get their learners over the line. Analysing just how hard it is to get onto the path to even take the test, the show will test whether the government’s response to the driver shortage is working in time, to keep Christmas on track.
Mark Hedgecoe joins Rogan Productions to head up new venture, Rogan Scotland
Rogan Productions has today announced the launch of Rogan Scotland, the company’s new production and development base in Glasgow, as well as confirming the appointment of Mark Hedgecoe as Head of Rogan Scotland.
Mark joins from the BBC, having most recently led Pacific Quay Productions for BBC Studios in Glasgow. Reporting into Rogan Productions’ London head office, Mark will spearhead the launch of Rogan Scotland and is responsible for overseeing all production and development from the Glasgow base.
